Paros, the very picture of a traditional Greek Island is situated in the centre of the Cyclades islands, The island is famous for its Parian wine and Paros features the most wonderful beaches. 

The capital Parikia, is a beautiful village featuring sugar-cubed houses and tiny streets. The harbour is very busy, as almost all Greek ferries put in here making Paros a perfect island hopping destination.
Parian marble has been famous since ancient times, and has also provided the island with an extremely good income.

Paros is situated around half-way between Athens and Santorini in the Cyclades group of Greek islands.  The ferry from Piraeus takes around 4 hours.  With around 120km of coastline, the capital of Paros, Parikia is one of the main harbours of the Cyclades.

Known for being a sailor's paradise due to the strong winds which get up during the afternoons, Paros has many windmills and beautiful sandy beaches, some within tiny bays which are best explored by boat.

There is an abundance of fruit trees, olive groves and vineyards on Paros and, in the Spring the island is totally green with many brightly-coloured flower and fragrant herbs.

Little shops are evenly spread out between grocery stores and bakeries. The local Greeks here still invite visitors into their homes to linger over chat and Greek coffe
